How Baglamukhi is invoked for protection
Baglamukhi’s defining power is stambhan (स्तम्भन) — to still, to hold in place, to arrest a force in motion. The oldest story tells of a storm-demon threatening all creation, whom the Devi did not destroy with greater violence, but stilled where he stood — saving creation by stopping the harm.
